The awareness of the landscape as an image is explicitly thematized in picturesque aesthetics from the late 18th century onwards. This manifests itself, among other things, in the English landscape garden and in emerging landscape tourism. What presents itself here is an intermediate position, which is characteristic of the modern landscape.

Fifteen years, 50 editions, and nearly 100 artists later, it is time for a retrospective. Salon blanc 2007-2022 has become a historical document, showcasing and describing a number of aspects of each edition of Salon blanc at that specific moment. Naturally, there is much more information and visual material available, and the oeuvres and thought processes of the participating artists have evolved and grown in the meantime. This publication therefore offers a brief glimpse into what was shown and shared in Ostend between 2007 and 2022.

10 years of Emergent, 30 exhibition periods. We take a moment to look back. By way of a retrospective, we are showing work by 30 artists who have played a special role during 10 eventful years.

20 years ago Veerle Swenters & Pierre Bogaerts ended up in the shoe industry as Veerle's father was a shoemaker in Antwerp. 2 years later they started the SONS project. In a first phase, they collected data from artists, which was a challenge in itself.

Artists, architects, photographers, performers, writers, poets, and residents were invited to explore the city of Bruges and look for a place or environment that would stand out to them for one reason or another. Out of respect for that place or environment, something could be added (as small and subtle as possible), corrected, or removed.
Applying THINGS UNSEEN to an exhibition of Contemporary Art creates a figure of speech that borders on a tautology or a pleonasm. After all, one expects to see something that has not been seen before, to such an extent that the everyday familiar acquires a poetic charge through images.
Artist-architect Eric Colpaert has been active as a visual artist since the early 1990s. After a long break, he is fully resuming his artistic career and has been focusing on his visual oeuvre again since 2016.
Back as if he never really left, he is exhibiting new work at Art Partout starting Saturday, September 28, 2019.

The three artists in the exhibition "Uitblinkend door verzuim" (2) – Jean-Marie Bytebier, Eric Colpaert and Lukas Vandenabeele – have little in common at first glance. Their oeuvres appear very different. Nevertheless, in "Emergent" they have been brought together based on one common characteristic.
